Welcome and Call to Worship
Led by Pastors Jeya and Dan
From the Iona community
Light looked down and saw darkness.
“I will go there,” said Light.
Peace looked down and saw war.
“I will go there,” said Peace.
Love looked down and saw hatred.
“I will go there,” said Love.
So, the Lord of Light,
the Prince of Peace,
the King of Love
came down — in quietness and humility —
to live beside us.

Scripture Reading and Reflection
John 1:3-5,14 (The Message)
The Word was first, the Word present to God,
God present to the Word.
The Word was God,
in readiness for God from day one.
Everything was created through him;
nothing — not one thing! — came into being without him.
What came into existence was Life,
and the Life was Light to live by.
The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness;
the darkness couldn’t put it out.
The Word became flesh and blood,
and moved into the neighborhood.
We saw the glory with our own eyes,
the one-of-a-kind glory,
like Father, like Son,
Generous inside and out,
true from start to finish.
