The ways in which we seek to live out our faith in Jesus for the life of our city and world around us
We were never meant to live life alone. Church is not a building, but the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12) where each of us belongs as members of God’s family and each of us is called to contribute our God-given gifts & talents to bless & serve our church and the world.
Our story begins as God speaks everything into being. As Ephesians 2:10 tells us, each of us is a masterpiece of the Master Artisan, uniquely hand-crafted as a force for good. We’re learning to discover and live out the dreams of God in and through our lives.
God is compassionate and gracious (Psalm 103:8-14), and He calls His people to live compassion-filled lives. Anchor City is not about the “latest cause” — rather, we want to bless and serve our neighbors out of friendship, mutuality, empathy, and love.
The most-often repeated command in Scripture is a simple phrase: “Do not be afraid.” As 1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear.” We want to follow Jesus with boldness and to courageously join His work of redemption all around us.
